winter

The Lungau presents itself from December to April due to its altitude of over 1,000 m above sea level absolutely snow reliable. In the immediate vicinity of the Pernerhof are the family-friendly ski area "Fanningberg", as well as the three much better known Lungau ski areas Katschberg, Großeck-Speiereck and Obertauern. Your car can stop at the Pernerhof: The ski bus that stops 100 m from the Pernerhof takes you free of charge to the ski areas.

The mountains in the area offer relaxation and adventure seekers many more options: ski tours, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, ice skating and horse-drawn sleigh rides can be carried out in the area just as easily as extensive winter hikes and snowshoe tours.

summer

Centrally located between the Lower Tauern and the Nock Mountains, the Lungau offers hikes and mountain bike tours of all lengths and levels of difficulty. Over 60 wildly romantic mountain lakes offer the brave a tingling refreshment.

The natural Lonka is considered a hotspot for fly fishermen far beyond the Lungau. Lungau has at least as much to offer to those interested in culture: the documented history of settlement dates back to the early Roman period. The Mauterndorf and Finstergrün castles and Moosham Castle take you back to the Middle Ages. Numerous local customs and events immerse you in the exciting culture of the Lungau.
